Rock Posters Documentary - Died Young, Stayed Pretty

Died Young, Stayed Pretty

If you've ever been a fan of posters, and who isn't? Take a brief look at a film by Eileen Yaghhobian. The film documents the underground of poster printing and the DIY efforts of artists and their unique thoughts and perspectives on an industry that is really not an industry but instead is a movement. The characters are as unique as the posters produced, and while the home-cam documentary feel lends itself to the more artistic interpretation of film-making, "Died Young, Stayed Pretty" retains its charm through a very candid look into the lives and work of print-makers who continue to work at the craft they so love.

There will be a screening in San Francisco running from June 30 - July 1st.

E3 - The Aftershock

E3

The first week of June in Los Angeles brought in a case of June-gloom weather that would be prognosticated to last for some time to come. Around the same time, a yearly and now seemingly traditional conference was shining light on the heart of the metropolitan city. E3, the Electronics Entertainment Expo has had a history in Los Angeles, at one point divorcing the L.A. Convention Center for the lights of Las Vegas.
